Cape Coast Castle - Ghana

Walking into Cape Coast Castle, you breath in the stench of death.
I cannot even begin to imagine the anguish, anxiety and pain endured by thousands.
Cape Coast Castle is a dark place.
The white washed walls are deceptive because there is no light in that castle.
Rather than depicting light and cleanliness, the white colour masks blood on the walls.
The Gate of no return.
Cape Coast Castle played the central role of holding slaves during the Atlantic slave trade.
If you do not know anything about the Atlantic slave trade, I would recommend watching La Amistad,1997 as a starting point.
